A life in brief
Rosa spent her life gathering neighbors around tables: food pantries, bilingual clinics, voter drives. She insists that history is not only what happens in capitals, but what happens when someone knocks on a door and stays for coffee. Her voice carries warmth and steel in equal measure.

Anger is useful fuel, but a terrible steering wheel. I learned to turn fury into agendas, agendas into phone trees, phone trees into change you could touch—a clinic open on Saturdays, a bus route restored.
